JUPITER TRANSIT

Jupiter is the great benefic in astrology. Jupiter is the Significator or Karaka for Wealth, Children, Fortune, Luck, Marriage and Husband in the case of a lady. It is believed that many ills in a horoscope can be nullified by the aspect of this great benefic. Jupiter is the great teacher. In vedic astrology Jupiter is also known as Brihaspati – the deva guru. He is the most auspicious planet and rules over Sagittarius and Pisces. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and debilitated in Capricorn.

Jupiter’s transit is followed with great expectations. Jupiter, one of the slower moving planets, transits from one sign to the next in approximately one year. It therefore takes 12 years approximately to complete one cycle of the zodiac. Generally, predictions are made with respect to the transit of Jupiter corresponding to the moon sign or janma rasi.

The precise predictions due transit of Jupiter from one sign to another, would also depend on the position of the other transiting planets, especially Saturn since this is another important and slow moving planet in the solar system.

The great benefic Jupiter is transiting from Sagittarius to Capricorn on 21st November 2020. He transits briefly into the next sign, Aquarius on 7th April 2021 before entering Capricorn on 14th September 2021. He transits again into Aquarius on 21st November 2021. The transit of Jupiter affects all signs in different ways.
