PANCHAMAHAPURUSHA YOGAS

PANCHAMAHAPURUSHA YOGA is said to be in ones horoscope (birth chart) when any one of the five Tara-grahas or non-luminary planets are in exaltation sign in a kendra from the Lagna(Ascendant) or located in its own house. This yoga ensures one's prosperity and status in life.

The five Tara-grahas or non-luminary planets are Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Saturn.

When Mars is in his own or exalted rasi and in a Kendra or Kona Ruchaka yoga is formed. The person having this yoga, will have a long face, will acquire much wealth through his prowess, be heroic, strong, destroyer of enemies, arrogant, famous for his virtues, victorious and a commander of armies.

When Mercury is in his own or exalted rasi and in a Kendra or Kona Bhadra yoga is formed. This person will be long-lived, sharp-witted, pure, praised by the learned, a king, very wealthy, and eloquent in an assembly.

When Jupiter is in his own or exalted rasi and in a Kendra or Kona Hamsa yoga is formed. This person will be etolled by the virtuous, a king, with his soles and palms marked with the conch, lotus, and fish, possessed of a beautiful body, virtuous and will eat sumptuous food.

When Venus is in his own or exalted rasi and in a Kendra or Kona Malavya yoga is formed. The person will have a sturdy body, be courageous, rich, blessed with children, wife and fortune, ever growing, happy, famous, having good vehicles, learned and with cheerful senses.

When Saturn is in his own or exalted rasi and in a Kendra or Kona Sasa yoga is formed. The person will be popular, possessed of good strength and servants, a king or head of a village, of bad character, addicted to other women, enjoying others’ wealth and happy.
